Scheduling for Electrical Contractors

Get your areas on the dates the schedule shows, keep switchgear on the critical path visible, and document the time others take while it can still be claimed. Primavera P6 construction scheduling for electrical contractors on hospitals, data centers and commercial buildings. CPM Pros reviews the GC's schedule from your side, tracks your gear from submittal to delivery, and documents the delays when the trades ahead of you, the owner or the utility hold up your work. Fully remote, anywhere in the US. Written quote with a firm price and delivery date, typically within 3 business days.

What Your Schedule Has to Carry

A schedule that shows whose delay it is,
while there is still time to act

Switchgear and long-lead gear as a chain, not a bar
Submittal, approval, release, fabrication, factory testing and delivery, each with its own dates and owner. The schedule shows whose review held it up.
Permanent power and energization
Utility service applications, inspections, studies and acceptance testing, and energization drive testing, startup and other trades' commissioning. When they slip, the schedule shows who is waiting on whom.
Rough-in by the areas the GC hands over
Your work broken down by floor or area, tied to the handover of each one. A late area shows as a late handover instead of a slow electrical crew.
Shutdowns in occupied buildings
In hospitals and operating facilities, shutdown requests, approval lead times and allowed windows go into the logic, so a missed window shows its real cost.
The end-of-job squeeze
Testing, startup and commissioning get compressed when everyone ahead of you runs late. The schedule record shows what the trades ahead consumed and what your work needs.
Man-hours behind every duration
Durations tied to the man-hours and crew sizes in your estimate, so a shortened activity becomes a written crew-size question, not a silent commitment.

Questions Electrical Contractors Ask
Do you work for the electrical contractor or the GC?

For you. When an electrical contractor hires CPM Pros, we review the GC's schedule from your side, keep your own schedule record, and build the analysis that supports your time extension requests. We do not represent the GC on the same project.

What do you need from us to get started?

Usually the GC's schedule PDF (or the native P6 file if you have it) and your contract. Your estimate's crew sizes and production rates help us check whether the durations the GC gave you are realistic. We send back a written quote, typically within 3 business days. See also how to review the GC's dates before you accept them.

What kind of electrical work do you schedule?

Electrical rooms and power distribution in operating hospitals, data center power and commissioning, and commercial and public buildings. Working for the general contractor on a core electrical room upgrade in an operating hospital, with the electrical work on the critical path, our time impact analysis supported a 3.8-month extension of contract time. On hyperscale data center work, a commissioning-impact analysis supported a 3.5-month extension.

Can you track our switchgear and long-lead equipment in the schedule?

Yes. Each major piece of gear is modeled as a chain: submittal, approval, release for fabrication, fabrication, factory testing where required, and delivery, with the dates your vendors actually quoted. When a submittal review or a delivery slips, the schedule shows what it does to energization and to your finish.
